OVERVIEW OF EVENTS HELD IN SHATAN ASHRAM DURING THE TIGHT MONTHS OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
At the busiest time, RGS Gurukulam provided distance and online education for the school’s students. A Sanskrit course has begun, organized by the chairman of the Sri Devrita Foundation of Delhi, Acharya Vikash. Also, other experienced teachers from different countries conduct online classes with children. Local television noted the effectiveness of the actions of the school administration and made a report from the scene.
The guru himself said it this way: “The Shatan Ashram team, those who worked during the 2 months of the COVID-19 blocking period, were engaged in marketing, food packaging, registering people in need, supplying food from the store, disinfecting, helping the elderly to put on masks etc. We are so proud to have these warriors with us. I am pleased with this team, because if after a while I leave this life, then our work to help people will continue.
Mr. Arun Sharma and Ishaan Sharma sponsored the installation of solar panels. Now the Ashram has its own electricity, its own Wi-Fi, a computer lab, laptops and a TV screen for online classes .
Finishing of the new high school building is also coming to an end. Now Gurukula will educate twice more students – the building will accommodate another 200 children. Modern washrooms and showers have been installed.
One of the best students of Gurukula Gunri, who dreams of becoming a journalist, conducted her own research on Covid-19 and recorded a video message in English and Hindi.
During the same period, the Red Cross Society jointly distributed a homeopathic medicine to prevent the corona virus. The RGS Gurukulam platform was used as a platform to distribute this medicinal product in this region.
Many friends of the ashram from different countries rendered their all possible help.
All this time, daily pooja and havana continued to be performed at the Ashram temple. The Guru Purnima festival was held in the new school building, and the chariot festival was held on the territory of the Ashram.
The latest event was the present by one kind person of many sweets for the children. It has become a real treat for the village children during this difficult time.
This is just a brief overview of what has happened in recent months at the RGS Gurukulam. We can honestly call the guru Swami Atmananda Puri and his team, as well as all those who are not indifferent – the warriors of light and good.
