“Just like a Mother”
One more story. Now you know all that story because I tell it every time, and usually I always tell it when I give kriya initiation. And that was my very first interview with Master.
I saw him after a Sunday service in Hollywood, and he asked me questions, and all kinds of questions. And with every kind of question I knew he had seen the whole picture of my life. And he didn’t need to ask anything. He formulated the questions in such a way that I knew that he knew. And all the mistakes I had made.
And usually, you know, we are not showing ourselves to everybody completely. There’s usually a shell around us. But with Master, with every question, one of those layers came off. And when he was through, there was nothing left, except a poor naked little child. And he did it in such a wonderful way, such a SWEET way. Not saying ‘Look I am omniscient and I know all about you.’ No, he did it with the attitude, I had the feeling it’s like mother. And there was that naked little child. And he gave me to understand, ‘From now on I’m taking care of you.’
And when I went away from Master I put all those things back on. (audience laughter). Never, never with Master. Never. With Master I’m always the naked little child. And that’s how you have to be, no reservation, completely open, naked little child.
And if you do, you can be assured, that’s the Mother. The instinct of the Mother is to take care of a little child, isn’t it? And if you go to God, if you go to Guru with that attitude, the Mother, through the Guru, will take care of you.
So take these thoughts, take this relationship with you, dwell on them, and remember them. Wherever you are, Mother is there, Guru is there, taking care of you.
