PRAYER FOR PEACE. Day 1: Accessing the Light. Light Prayer.

Oh God, bestow light in my heart. And light in my tongue. And light in my hearing. And light in my
sight. And light in all my senses. And light in my feelings. And light inside my body.
Be still light before me. In light behind me. Be still light on my right side and in my right hand. And light
on my left side, in my left hand. In light above me and light below me. I ask you to make me all light.
Illuminate my being with your divine love and divine light. Ameen or Amen.

So my first prayer, I first want to talk about intention. Intention is a very powerful thing and when we set our intention for prayer, it’s a opening of the door that lets us know what is it that we want? What is it that we’re looking for from this prayer? I invite you now to just take a few moments and drop into your heart and ask, ”What is my intention for this prayer?”
And as you set your intention, you could say it out loud, slowly. Once you align this intention, I can imagine a divine white light you’re calling upon, and allow it to just flow into your being. Let it have a powerful effect of lifting your vibration. Protecting and centering you in the present moment with divine light and divine love.
This prayer, our first prayer is known as the Light Prayer. And you can say, ”God, you can say the Most High you can say The One Who Gives Peace. You can say Huwa. You can say Elohim. Whatever the name
for The Most High that resonates the most in your heart. So for me, I’m just going to start with, ”Oh
God.”

This is the prayer for today. You may use this prayer at any time when you’re feeling a little need for
more light and more love in your life. I like to say it first thing in the morning when I wake up or sometimes in the afternoon when I’m starting to feel a little drowsy or after a hard day. So these are all opportunities and I pray that you enjoy this prayer and I look forward to sharing another one with you tomorrow.
Thank you for joining me today. I’ll end with a Sufi greeting. It’s peace be with you, As-salaam alaykum.
