Vedic Verses for 7/16/17

In the beginning he came into being, footless. In the beginning he bore the heavenly light. Four-footed now, he has become the abode of delightfulness, assuming [in himself] all delights.

Atharva Veda X, 8, 21

In the same way whosoever reveres the everlasting God who reigns supreme, will himself become the abode of delights, will himself receive food in abundance.

Men say that he is everlasting, and yet he is renewed today. Day and night with different forrns by turns give birth to one another.
