Lord grant me the strength to make no one an enemy but give me the
courage to stand up to those who would cause harm.
Let me not be the cause of harm or become the enemy
of one who I have called friend through some lapse of duty or conscience
Awaken my conscientious self so that I will make
No false claims or aggrandize myself in any way.
Help me to remain true and speak not against others
In their absence.
Protect me from the temptation to Take advantage
of another’s ignorance.
With your help Lord, I undertake never to profit from
My own good deeds by boasting about them to others.
Nor will I ever claim as mine
What belongs to another.
Remind me that reproaching others only
Makes them firm in their faults.
Give me the strength of duty to complete
The tasks I have committed to accomplish.
Make me faithful in the services
I render to those who require them.
I commit to never seeking profit
By impoverishing or financially taxing another.
Above all
I will harm no one for my own benefit.
May the Lord intervene and
Guide me through my times of weakness
And protect me from the temptation
To break any of these prohibitions.
