Let us begin in the name of God,
the Compassionate, the Merciful,
the Restorer of all things in their pristine glory,
the bestower of the all-sufficient power of healing.
Let us invoke the Divine Spirit,
the quickener of life.
Let us invoke the Archangel Raphael
and all the angelic hosts occupied with
the healing ministry.
Let us invoke the Messiah,
the Beloved’s response to the suffering cry
of the planet.
Let us invoke all those who have come
to the succor of humanity in times of distress;
who have brought greater life, greater light, greater love
to replace humankind’s suffering, darkness and despair.
Let us invoke Osiris, Imhotep,
Hermes, Ascelepius, Hippocrates,
Orpheus, Pythagoras, Mahadeva Shiva,
the Lord Buddha, the Quan Yin, the Lord Zarathustra,
the Mother Mary, Jesus Christ, St. Francis,
Avicenna, Paracelsus, St. Germaine,
and of course, let us invoke the presence of our Murshid,
who entrusts this work into our care,
the Inayat, Hazrat Inayat Khan.
Let us invoke all others, known and unknown,
who have held aloft the light of truth
through the darkness of human ignorance.
