You to whom we belong<\/div>\n
to whom we have always belonged<\/div>\n
to whom we will always belong<\/div>\n
You who sustain our being<\/div>\n
who sustain our life<\/div>\n
who sustain our breath<\/div>\n
You who came before everything<\/div>\n
who will follow after all<\/div>\n
who live everywhere, always<\/div>\n
Giver of life, giver of breath<\/div>\n
You, the mystery in our breath<\/div>\n
the light in our breath<\/div>\n
the breath of our breath<\/div>\n
You who are life<\/div>\n
without whom there is no life<\/div>\n
in whom there is no death<\/div>\n
You, the bestower of being<\/div>\n
the essence of being<\/div>\n
pure and endless being<\/div>\n
You who are the root<\/div>\n
the source of all that is<\/div>\n
the spring of what we are<\/div>\n
and what we might yet be<\/div>\n
You whose name is every name<\/div>\n
whose form is every form<\/div>\n
yet whom no name can contain<\/div>\n
no form can enclose<\/div>\n
Sower of countless seeds<\/div>\n
Reaper of boundless harvests<\/div>\n
We call upon You<\/div>\n
we invoke You<\/div>\n
\n
we ask you to witness<\/div>\n
our witness of you<\/div>\n
We ask to receive<\/div>\n
all that you have to give us<\/div>\n
And we ask to be shown<\/div>\n
how to answer as is fitting<\/div>\n
what to give of ourselves in turn<\/div>\n
Creator, you will give us, we trust<\/div>\n
what we need<\/div>\n
what we need to be<\/div>\n
what You have created us to be<\/div>\n
Creator, we seek to serve you<\/div>\n
and to serve Your creation<\/div>\n
make of us the servants<\/div>\n
You would have in Your service<\/div>\n
Cleanse and purify us<\/div>\n
wash away our stains<\/div>\n
pour over us the water<\/div>\n
of Your purity<\/div>\n
Make us new again<\/div>\n
give us every moment new life<\/div>\n
by Your resurrecting touch<\/div>\n
Our bodies are Your temples<\/div>\n
help us to keep them pure and holy<\/div>\n
Our hearts are Your shrines<\/div>\n
may no forgetfulness enter them<\/div>\n
Our souls are Your altars<\/div>\n
may they stand to exalt You<\/div>\n
When we have fallen, lift us<\/div>\n
when we falter, steady us<\/div>\n
heal us<\/div>\n
protect us<\/div>\n
and make us strong with Your strength<\/div>\n
Give us, in all of our fibers, purity and life<\/div>\n
Make strong our limbs<\/div>\n
bolster our bones<\/div>\n
infuse our blood<\/div>\n
fortify our hearts<\/div>\n

cleanse our vessels<\/div>\n
make sound every organ in us<\/div>\n
that we may serve you<\/div>\n
to the fullest of our power<\/div>\n
You who make the sun shine<\/div>\n
brighten our eyes with clear vision<\/div>\n
You, the Voice that speaks in every whisper and call<\/div>\n
give us ears that can hear You<\/div>\n
Let our senses be for You<\/div>\n
sight and hearing and smell and taste and touch<\/div>\n
vivid, pure, and true<\/div>\n
Our minds, we know, are mirrors<\/div>\n
held up to Your traces and signs<\/div>\n
make their reflections clear<\/div>\n
clear and bright and true to life<\/div>\n
Your light is what we thirst for<\/div>\n
send it to us, we pray<\/div>\n
in the measure of our thirst<\/div>\n
Illuminate our path as we travel this earth<\/div>\n
and when we pass beyond it<\/div>\n
Light our way with the sun by day<\/div>\n
with the moon by night<\/div>\n
and with the light of Your Face<\/div>\n
when night and day<\/div>\n
are behind us<\/div>\n
Creator, You made us of Your own purity<\/div>\n
You made us of Your wholeness<\/div>\n
Restore us, again, to simplicity<\/div>\n
We have broken<\/div>\n
Make us again whole<\/div>\n
Creator, make us whole in ourselves,<\/div>\n
whole in the world<\/div>\n
And whole in the unity of all that is<\/div>\n
whole in the unity that You are<\/div>\n
You sustain us<\/div>\n
and sustain too all that walks and crawls<\/div>\n
all that burrows and swims and flies<\/div>\n
all that grows, unfurls, and blossoms<\/div>\n
give us the vision and power<\/div>\n
\n
to protect all you have brought to life<\/div>\n
Sustainer, the earth is a wonder<\/div>\n
its mountains and oceans, its valleys and rivers<\/div>\n
all unspeakably holy<\/div>\n
all brimming with a beauty<\/div>\n
that can never be spoken<\/div>\n
We ask Your blessing on the earth<\/div>\n
We ask Your blessing on all<\/div>\n
that comes from the earth<\/div>\n
We ask Your blessings on the stars and planets<\/div>\n
without number<\/div>\n
We ask Your blessing on all that comes<\/div>\n
from the stars and planets<\/div>\n
without number<\/div>\n
We desire, in our bodies<\/div>\n
in our hearts, in our souls<\/div>\n
and between us<\/div>\n
and between all breathing beings<\/div>\n
a harmony like the harmony<\/div>\n
of the stars and planets<\/div>\n
shining and whirling for Your sake<\/div>\n
a music<\/div>\n
like the music of the spheres<\/div>\n
You have brought us forth<\/div>\n
we were not always here<\/div>\n
and we will not long linger<\/div>\n
give us the courage and grace<\/div>\n
to fulfill the purpose<\/div>\n
for which You sent us<\/div>\n
Our span is too brief, we know,<\/div>\n
to waste in discord and resentment<\/div>\n
teach us kindness, forgiveness,<\/div>\n
and such peace of mind and heart<\/div>\n
as will unite us with You and all that live within You<\/div>\n
Healer of our bodies, hearts, and souls<\/div>\n
Heal, we pray, the divisions that divide us<\/div>\n
men and women<\/div>\n
the old and the young<\/div>\n
people of pale skin and dark skin,<\/div>\n
\n
followers of this prophet and that<\/div>\n
we all belong to you<\/div>\n
keep us united in remembrance of You<\/div>\n
and in service to each other<\/div>\n
All who are hungry,<\/div>\n
we pray, may they be fed<\/div>\n
All who are wounded,<\/div>\n
we pray, may they be healed,<\/div>\n
All who are suffering,<\/div>\n
we pray, may they find relief,<\/div>\n
All who are in danger,<\/div>\n
we pray, may they find protection,<\/div>\n
All who are dying,<\/div>\n
we pray, may their passage be sanctified<\/div>\n
with the light of Your grace<\/div>\n
You who are the truth<\/div>\n
May we awaken to Your truth<\/div>\n
May we flourish in Your light<\/div>\n
May we walk in remembrance<\/div>\n
May we unite in the service of Your creation<\/div>\n
May this creation thrive in the glory<\/div>\n
of Your endless blessings<\/div>\n
And may all that has come from You<\/div>\n
return to you<\/div>\n
in wisdom<\/div>\n
in joy<\/div>\n
